Gosego Rockfall Lekgowe

Mr. Lekgowe has more than 10 years’ experience in advising and representing clients in court. He graduated from the University of Botswana in 2010. He has worked at Monthe Marumo & Co (Incorporating Molatlhegi & Associates) and at Collins Chillisa Consultants. He has wealth of experience in various areas of the law. He holds a Certificate in Public Analysis from London School of Economics.

While at Monthe Marumo & Co (Incorporating Molatlhegi & Associates), Mr Lekgowe was engaged in civil litigation in various fields of law including land law, labour law, competition law, contract law, debt collection, family law and general litigation. He also undertook consultancy work and carrying out due diligence. He has done work for Kweneng Land Board, Tawana Land Board, National Development Bank, Procurement and Asset Disposal Board, Botswana Innovation Hub, Botswana Public Officers Pension Fund and for Botswana Public Employees Union (BOPEU). He has also advised on competition law issues whilst at Monthe Marumo.

He joined Collins Chillisa Legal Consultants as an Associate Attorney in October 2012. He has done matters for Stanbic Bank, Botswana Public Employees Union (BOPEU), Botswana Land Board & Local Authorities & Health Workers Union (BLLAHWU) & Botswana Federation of Public Sector Unions (BOFEPUSO). While at Collins Chillisa Legal Consultants, he worked with and appeared in court with advocate Kuny and Advocate Freund.

At Rockfall Lekgowe Law Group, Mr Lekgowe leads a team of vibrant attorneys, who are research intensive and frequently litigate before Botswana courts. The vision of Rockfall Lekgowe Law Group is to provide efficient and quality legal services. Overtime, the law firm has represented and advised corporate bodies, parastatals such as Gaborone City Council (GCC), Botswana Examinations Council (BEC), Architect Registration Council (ARC) and Ngwato Land Board and other Private corporate entities. Rockfall Lekgowe Law Group has advised on private public partnership contracts, equity and debt financing and credit agreements.

Mr Lekgowe has studied International Trade Law (WTO Law and Regional Integration), International Finance and Investments Law, International human rights law and international Criminal law. He has published legal articles on the relationship between trade law matters and domestic law. He is a member of the Law Reporting Committee which reviews and grades judgements. Mr Lekgowe teaches law at the University of Botswana. He has taught tax law, sale and credit agreements, banking and negotiable instruments law and company law.
